Jon is a Tennessee attorney focused on real estate transactions for the firm’s offices in Nashville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1989, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1992. Jon has practiced law in Tennessee for 33 years, with the last 10 years almost exclusively focused on real estate matters, contracts, closings, and title issues. He has closed thousands of transactions for buyers, sellers (and their agents), and lenders. He has also served as a guest speaker and panel member for continuing legal education seminars, trade meetings, commercial and residential realtor training, investor meetings, and alumni events.

For the first two decades of his practice, Jon focused on litigation, representing clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, mediations, government meetings, and administrative hearings concerning a variety of matters, including real estate disputes, breach of contract, employee claims, corporate dissolutions, mergers and acquisitions, accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, workers' compensation, family law, divorce, and adoptions. Jon has been lead counsel in jury and bench trials across Tennessee in both plaintiff and defense cases and has argued before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Tennessee Supreme Court, and the Federal 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also served as President and Board Member of the Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce in Williamson County and in the House of Delegates for the Tennessee Bar Association.

In his free time, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys at their property, where he rides his old tractor, hits golf balls, chases his dog Biggie (who runs away with the golf balls), plays guitar, and writes silly songs. He and Laura enjoy working on DIY projects at their properties.
